Holding Claims

Remembering where all the important checkboxes are when setting up finance in myEvolv can be overwhelming!
In the1st post of our “Where are Those Checkboxes Series”, we look at holding claims to prevent them from being sent to a receiver with missing or incorrect information which would inevitably result in a denied claim.
Breadcrumbs: Finance Setup > Agency Setup > Claim Receivers Setup > Receiver General Info
1st: Search and Select Claim Receiver
2nd: Click or Scroll to Hold Claims Conditions Section:
- Hold Claims if No Policy#

- Will create a claim but mark it Held if the client has a benefit assignment with no Policy number.

- Hold Claims if No Diagnosis

- Will create a claim but mark it Held if there is no current diagnosis on file for a client.

- (Hold Claims if) No Staff NPI
-
- Will create a claim but mark it Held if the staff providing service does not have a current NPI on file.
- Update/add a Staff NPI Breadcrumbs: Agency > Staff & Security > Staff Information > Staff Profiles with Security
Once the client or staff record is corrected, the held claim will get picked up in the next billing cycle! These settings are super helpful to understand when researching Held Claims.
